San Juan Capistrano, CA — Repeating the same score in earlier match vs Servite, our JV players did a bit better in doubles this afternoon, however, we picked up fewer singles wins. Kudos to the 100% club, those who won all matches played today. First, in singles: Preston Frickes-Drisdale came off the bench to beat their # 1 singles player 7-5, which was the sole singles victory of the afternoon. Great job Preston. Miles McClain and Justin Que won all 3 sets of doubles. Close call in opening round getting behind 0-3 before climbing back to a 7-5 victory vs the Friar’s top team. Both our #2 & #3 doubles teams defeated their 2&3 teams, but dropped very close sets up on court 6. Playing tough dubs today: Daniel Pasha with Captain Jeff Tang, and Rodney Howell with Luke Conniff. Next up: rematch vs Orange Lutheran, 2:30pm this Thursday on our home courts.
