Pleasant Hill, CA — Sac High came into their West Coast Jamboree Platinum Division matchup as a heavy underdog, but battled back from a late 11 point deficit to knock off State and National #2 Etiwanda to advance to the Semifinal round of the WCJ, where they will face another big favorite in Pinewood. Sac High (7-3) was led in scoring by Andriana Avent and Muirae Gomez each with 17 and combining for 19 of the 23 points in the fourth quarter, including hitting 10 from the free throw line. Sac High used a suffocating pressure defense to frustrate Etiwanda, which hit only one 3 on the night. It also helped that Sac played their most consistent defensive game of the season forcing well over 30 turnovers.
