Sacramento, CA — Alyssa Yuke scored 13 points to lead C.K. McClatchy to a 47-41 victory over Laguna Creek on Monday in Metro League play.
Down 13 points in the first quarter, CKM came out strong in the second quarter and out-scored Laguna Creek 21-4 to end the half with a 26-20 lead.
Kennis Jasperson sparked the big McClatchy run with 6 points, 2 assists, and 1 steal in the second quarter.
Laguna Creek battled back to take a 1-point lead at the end of the third quarter (37-36), but McClatchy retook the lead for good on a jump shot by Aaliyah Boyd early in the fourth quarter.
Yuke put the most points on the board for the Lions during the fourth quarter by scoring five.
Two other players also scored in double-figures for CKM.
Jasperson put up 12 points on 51 percent shooting and led the team with 3 assists and 3 steals.
Madaya Fletcher was a big contributor as well, racking up another double-double with 11 points and 21 rebounds.
Also contributing for CKM were Alyssa Archuleta (3 points, 2 rebounds), Lauren Shintaku (2 points, 2 rebounds), Boyd (2 points, 4 rebounds), Aaliyah Pirkey (1 point, 3 rebounds), and Cara Ishisaka (1 point, 3 assists, 2 steals).
CKM finished the game with 51 rebounds (21 offensive / 30 defensive) and eight steals.
