Murrieta, CA — It's that time of year again......hoping for another successful season! Last night was our season opener......for game 1, and the middle of November, I thought we had a nice crowd to open the season. Thanks so much to those of you that were there to support us last night! While we lost our top 3 scorers and top 3 rebounders off last years SoCal semi-final team, I believe that we have enough experience and talent to have another season to be proud of. A great first step was taken last night as we controlled the game from start to finish. Senior Devin Fortune led the way with 17 points and 8 rebounds while fellow senior Jonah Zandi had 16 points and Junior Anthony Salek had 12. We also had a strong effort from junior Matthew McIntosh (11 points & 6 rebounds). As is normally the case, Junior Cameron Rentie played exceptional defense and controlled the pace for our team (and also led our team with 9 rebounds & 6 assists). Promising Freshman Lewis Singleterry had a terrific first game as a high schooler and Senior Anthony Salas was his usual force inside.
