San Juan Capistrano, CA — CVCHS AD and coach were very kind to come down the street and play us today, we have played only a handful of times in the past 10 years. Capistrano Valley Christian School 9-12 enrollment is MUCH smaller than JSerra and they are in a very tough league. The Lions left their big guns on the bench and substituted liberally today in a 13 -5 nonleague victory. Bright spots today were some first varsity wins in singles for Maya Stroupe, Julianna Johnson and Bryann Noorian... while Chloe Gallaher and Aurora Moore picked up Chloe's first varsity victory, and another! Aurora has been on the podium before. Isabella Geffre started at line 1 and Julianna Johnson relieved her for an assisted hat trick, sweeping 3 singles. Cecelia added a singles spot too. Bryanna Noorian played an awesome tiebreak set, narrowly dropping close tiebreaker. Sister act Aerin and Kiley Fraize swept 3 doubles sets pretty easily while Elliana Castro and Chiara Manta ALSO swept 3, pulling out a tiebreak win vs line 1 doubles 7-6. Add this to their last round victory at the Pete Brown tourney last Saturday, Elliana and Chiara are 4 and 0h! in their last 4 varsity matches!
