Huntington Beach, CA — JSerra JV Prep / FS (squads B & C) represented JSerra Catholic well in this tightly played match at Huntington Beach this morning. Playing a regular 3x3 singles + 3x3 doubles format gave 6 girls a chance to experience singles play in live competition vs an opposing school. We won 6 of our 8 sets in singles with the 3 starters each winning both sets played: Maddie Tran, Flo Michael, Jackie Thielman. Well done ladies! Maddie swept 6-2, 6-1 vs their top 2 players. We won both of our tie-breakers today, thank you Jacque and Flo. Kudos to 100%’er today, Milan Jepsen, who won both sets played, to give us our other 2 set wins; one with Emma Withycombe and other with rookie Eya Kane. Congratulations to each of you, well played. Next up: double header Friday Aug. 6th. GOLD squad home vs Crean Lutheran, 2.30 pm. CRIMSON squad at Fountain Valley, 2:30 pm.
