San Mateo, CA — The San Mateo Bearcats Girls Flag Football team (1-0) beat Mercy Burlingame (0-1) by a score of 36-6 on Thursday 8/29/24 at San Mateo High School in both schools opening game. Prisha Prasad was the player of the game for the Bearcats with 7 catches for 87 yards and a 1 point conversion. Prasad also had an interception for the defense. Kayla Lichaa led the passing attack for the Bearcats going 8/13 with 90 yards and a touchdown. She also added 12 yards and a touchdown on the ground as well , all in the first half. Valentina Gomez led the rushing with 4 carries for 43 yards. Zoe Lichaa had 2 touchdown’s (1 receiving, 1 rushing) and an interception for the defense. The Bearcats travel to The Kings Acedemy (1-0) on Tuesday 9/3 for their next game
