Tonganoxie, KS — The beginning of the season is always exciting. This game kept us all interested all the way to the end. We traded shots with KCC early through the game. 20 minutes in, Wesley Johnson caught a red card. This put the team down a player for the remainder of the game. We fought hard through the game and overcame some challenges. KCC was able to put in a goal off of a free kick outside of our box. We had our chances but didn’t finish. We saw opportunities to shoot, but just couldn’t get that shot off our foot. The boys put in a good effort, the fact we fought and were in this game till the end is a testament to how hard we worked. Jose Moreno was stellar for us and showed why he can be one of the top goalkeepers in the state. We look to bounce back as we go against 6A powerhouse Mill Valley for our next game.
