Recap
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — JV ends near perfect season with a solid win at Santa Margarita 15 - 3. Winning 7 of 9 doubles and 8 of 9 in singles, the outcome was never in doubt as the girls took the first round 5 sets to 1, as they did so many times this season.
100% winners are receiving MVP honors for their efforts today. Dylan Henderson and Kinsley Moore, both 3 for 3 in singles. Christina Nama continued her winning ways, going 2 for 2 at line 2.
MVP honors in doubles go out to Kate Layk and Caitlyn Davidson, winning all 3 sets. They would have been the top seeded team in doubles had the JV tourney not been cancelled.
MVP’rs Rowan Johnston and Jessica Jenkins won the only set assigned to them, 6-3 after dropping the first 3 games. Well done.
Sam McCulloch and Sydney Shaw came close, losing to the Eagles’ strongest team 5-7 in round 2.
Starters Arina Wagner and Riley Godber got behind early in both sets….after being behind 0-3 and later 1-5 (40-15), they forced and won a tie-breaker.
Gianna Gancar got 3 games off their #1 singles player, Allison, in a well-played 3rd round set.
Awesome snacks provided by the Nama family, thank you!
