Cheyanne, WY — The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team wrapped up the first day of the Cheyenne Invitational 2-0. The 19th-ranked Titans defeated No. 16 Casper College in straight sets, 25-11, 25-16 and 25-15 at Laramie County Community College in Wyoming. A couple of kills by Libby Ashline gave the Titans a 4-1 lead in the first set as they would jump out to an 11-2 lead. Up 13-4, Casper went on a run and cut the lead to 13-8 before the Titans scored three in a row as Lesmary Raffucci had a kill and Sarah Henault added an ace to give the Titans a 16-8 lead. Dominae Jordan finished off the first set with a kill. Casper came out strong in the second set, leading 6-3 before the Titans went on a run on kills by Aliah Snider and Jordan. The Titans would go on a 7-1 run and roll to a 25-16 win to go up 2-0. Snider had a couple of kills early in the third set and Jordan had a couple more to give the Titans the lead. It would stay close for much of the third set but the Titans began pulling away, scoring six straight points behind the strong serving of Snider. Up 21-13, Cherlialix Carmona had a couple of kills late and the Titans wrapped up the victory in straight sets. Jordan and Raffucci each finished with 10 kills while Snider had eight.
