Wildomar, CA — Elsinore and Eisenhower came into this game at Westphal Stadium as winless and hungry teams, desperate to earn their first victory of the season. The Tigers would have an extra edge in this 2024 Homecoming game inspired and standing on the shoulders of the 96 seasons of Elsinore Football players that came before them. The game was a close defensive battle for field position for most of the first half. However, the Tigers executed a 2 minute drill late and cashed in for a TD as Junior QB Brayden Stankus found Junior Slot Back Kai Tamagpong in the endzone. This would get the Tigers rolling and they never looked back, wearing down the opponent and scoring 24 points in the second half as they rang the victory bell 31 times in a 31-12 victory. Offensively, the Tigers were led by Stankus (10/20 133 Yds. TD), Tamagpong (5/29 Rushing, 2/38 Receiving, TD), Jaden Evans (13/73 Rushing, TD, 2/21 Receiving), and Adrian Stankevich (8/44 Rushing, TD 1/7 Receiving). They accomplished those things behind the punishing blocking of guards Aaron Knopf and Link Naranjo. Defensively, Elsinore had standout performances by Sophomore Defensive Backs Xavier Stankevich (5 Tackles, TFL, PBU, 3/12 Rushing) and Josh Navarro (8 Tackles, 2 PBUs). Up front, Junior Linebacker Tyler Willeford recorded a 10 tackle game and Senior OLB Ryan Sanzotera had 6 tackles (TFL) and a blocked extra point. The Tigers got excellent Special teams contributions from Junior Brody Walker (2 Tackles), Junior Tyler Willeford and Senior Adrian Stankevich (recovered onside kicks), Freshman Punter Raymond Johnson (35 Yard Punt inside the 10), and Junior Kicker Cash Bigelow (4/4 PAT, 37 Yd. FG).
