Medford, OR — The Lady Challengers had a tough loss against the Brookings-Harbor Bruins on Tuesday night. The Bruins came out strong offensively and scored a goal in the 8th minute. Brookings continued to push on the Challengers for the majority of the game. The Challengers struggled with player injuries and illness which hindered the team to play at their best. Emma Coats got a couple good shots off in the second half, but were stopped by the Bruins keeper. Brookings earned their second goal off a disputed foal against Cascade in the 79th minute. The MVP for Cascade on Tuesday night was senior goalkeeper Josie Scaglione who logged a total of 27 saves. One of those saves had a big bounce and Scaglione knocked it out off the goal line in the second half. Cascade will face Coquille/ Myrtle Point in Coquille on Monday, September 16th at 4:30pm.
