Lynn Haven, FL — The Mosley Dolphins continued their undefeated season with a commanding 36-7 victory over the Navarre Raiders on Thursday night. The Dolphins, now 4-0, defeated Navarre, with a balanced offensive attack and a stifling defensive performance that held the Raiders scoreless until the closing minutes of the game. Quarterback Sammy Freitas led the way on offense, throwing two touchdown passes. His first was a pinpoint strike to Carson Griffin, and the second found Jaden Sapp in the end zone, capping off a two touchdown night. The ground game was equally effective, with Sammy Chisolm powering through for a rushing touchdown and Lo’Kavion Jackson adding two more scores on the ground. Jackson also made his presence felt on defense, recording a sack and forcing a fumble that was recovered by Joseph Chima. The Dolphins’ defense was relentless, holding Navarre in check for nearly the entire game. The Raiders managed to score only once, a late touchdown in the fourth quarter, long after the game had been decided. Despite the lopsided score, Mosley head coach Tommy Whiddon saw room for improvement. “I thought we played real sloppy tonight and our execution was not great on offense at times, but it’s great to get the win,” Whiddon said. “We’ve got to have a much better week of practice next week to be ready for a talented Escambia team.” The Dolphins now turn their attention to homecoming next week as they prepare for a tough matchup against Escambia. With their perfect record still intact, the Dolphins will be looking to sharpen their game in front of their home crowd. Mosley’s 4-0 start has them looking like one of the top teams in the region, but as Coach Whiddon made clear, there’s still work to be done.
