Manheim, PA — The Avengers were back at it this weekend at The Fathers Day Classic in Manheim, PA with two pool play matchups. First up was 5-Star Mid-Atlantic at the dreaded 8am game. And similar to a case of the Mondays, the 8am start saw The Avengers come out slow. It was not until the bottom of the 4th inning and already down 1 run, did they finally break through and score a run. But that was enough to finally spark the bats as the would post another 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th. Dylan Mitchell and Myles Casey had hey hits to stretch the lead to four. That was more than enough for a bulldog outting on the mound by Rylee Fehr. The starting left hander went 6 innings, only allowing 1 hit, and holding an athletic 5-Star team to just 1 run. Parker Davis came in to shut the door in relief and secure the W. The Avengers had rubbed the crust out of their eyes by the second game against Pro Prospects. Avengers offense tagged the scoreboard for 11 runs on 9 hits. Rylee Fehr, Nolan Wampler, and “DUBS”, each had two hits in the game to go with Jake Santiago accounting for 5 Avengers to score. Parker Davis, Mason Pavone, and Dylan Mitchell combined on the mound to keep Pro Prospects at bay and provided their team with much needed innings to save pitching for a Sunday Championship run.
