Pine Bush Falls to Minisink Valley 36-28 in Hard-Fought Battle

In a thrilling contest, Pine Bush varsity football came up just short against one of the top teams in the section, falling to Minisink Valley 36-28. Despite a strong effort, the Bushmen were plagued by 13 penalties totaling over 140 yards, which ultimately proved costly in a game full of momentum swings.
Pine Bush struck early, scoring on their second play of the game with an 80-yard touchdown run, setting the tone for what looked to be a back-and-forth battle. After a tense first half, the teams were tied 15-15 heading into the break. Pine Bush added a 25-yard passing touchdown late in the second quarter, showcasing their ability to move the ball through the air as well as on the ground.
The second half saw Minisink Valley take control, but Pine Bush fought valiantly to stay in the game. In the third quarter, they added another rushing touchdown, and a 4th quarter kickoff return for a touchdown pulled the Bushmen within 8 points, giving them a chance to tie the game late.
The Bushmen, now 1-1, will look to bounce back next Friday night when they host undefeated Valley Central at 7:00 p.m. With the lessons learned from this tough loss, the Bushmen are eager to get back on track against another strong opponent.
