La mirada, CA — Norwalk 16u All Stars Fall To Fountain Valley After Surrendering Big First Inning By GameChanger Media Fountain Valley defeated Norwalk 16u All Stars 8-1 on Sunday thanks in part to seven runs in the first inning. Fountain Valley got on the board in the top of the first inning after Alejandra was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Mina Torres induced Kamilia to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Giselle doubled, scoring two runs, Belin grounded out, scoring one run, a passed ball scored one run, and Kaylee singled, scoring one run. Fountain Valley added one run in the second. Alejandra singled on an 0-2 count, making the score 8-1. Mina Torres took the loss for Norwalk 16u All Stars. They went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering 12 runs (11 earned) on 12 hits, striking out three and walking three. Sophia stepped in the circle first for Fountain Valley. They gave up two hits and one run over three innings, striking out five and walking three. Mina Torres led Norwalk 16u All Stars with one run batted in. Celeste Olide and Jazmin Jimenez each collected one hit for Norwalk 16u All Stars. Celeste Olide stole two bases. Fountain Valley piled up 12 hits in the game.
