Justin Gonzalez broke the game open in the 2nd half when he stripped the Union City RB of the football and then returned it 55 yards for a TD to open the lead to 35-12 in the 3rd quarter.

CO-MVP

Tyler Bell

QB Tyler Bell was spectacular once again. He tied a school record with 5 passing TDs on 14 for 26 passing and 277 yards and added 4 rushes for another 20 yards. He now has over 500 yards passing and 9 TDs in 2 games this season.

#7 QB

Andres Perez

Andres Perez did not have a huge quantity day in terms of stats, but he once again capitalized on his opportunities. The senior WR caught 3 passes for 37 yards and 2 TDs. This was the 2nd week in a row that Andres found the endzone twice which makes him our leading scorer at this point in the early season.

Prep vs Union City

Union, NJ — The Prep offense regained its fast pace after a scoreless 1st quarter behind Tyler Bell’s 277 passing yards and 5 TDs. Andres Perez had 2 TD receptions and Hunter Watson was over 100 yards receiving with another score in back to back weeks. The defense found their stride in the 2nd half with 2 takeaways highlighted by a Justin Gonzalez forced fumble into a scoop & score and hard hitting run support from Jordan Rodriguez (who added an INT), Nick Grasso, and Luca Herrera.
