Danbury, CT — We put things together the 2nd game and won handily 13-8. Lainey pitched 2 solid innings earning the win, Leigha pitched her first inning as a Timberwolf, Nina pitched a scoreless inning with 3 strikeouts, and Ellie finished the game off earning the save. Zoey had 2 hits with another double and 2 RBIs, and Mia L got a hit- extended her hitting streak to 4 games. We played excellent defense in game 2. Zoey, Ariyah, Ellie, Ella, Lainey, and Ava made some great plays to lead the way. Mia L won game-ball honors in game 1, and Ella got the game ball in game 2 for some excellent work behind the plate. Zoey and Lainey had 3 hits each on the day; Mia G, Zoey, and Ariyah all scored 4 runs today; Ariyah walked 5 times on the day and Summer 4; Zoey and Mia G each had 4 RBIs; Zoey and Mia G also each had 4 stolen bases. The Timberwolves go into next week’s league matchup hosting the Watertown Rapids for a doubleheader. Our record is 8-6-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the league, and we remain in 4th place overall in the 10U SWCTFL.
