Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees lost to the Sabers by a score of 3-2 Saturday morning. The Sabers scored their runs early, all with two outs. Jake Mitchell started the game, throwing 5 innings and striking out 6. Sammy Villarreal came in relief and threw two scoreless innings striking out 4. Rafael Villalobos Jr. led the Bees offense with two hits, and drove in 1 of the 2 Zee-Bees runs. Sammy Villarreal drove in the other run for the Bees. Dom Diliberti and Andrew Mitchell also got hits for the Bees. The Zee-Bees battled the pitching and cold weather plating runs in the sixth and the seventh innings, but were unable to the the tying run across the plate in the bottom of the 7th. The Zee-Bees return to action on Monday against the Waukegan Bulldogs.
