Rochester, MI — 10.18.2025 The North Farmington Raiders came to town this weekend to invade Highlander nation and were quickly reminded that they don’t play their season in the OAA Red and their 5-2 record wasn’t played amongst men. The first quarter the Raiders appeared to be putting together a drive until the Highlander defense locked it up causing an 8 yard punt giving the Highlander’s great starting field position for their first drive. Adams put together long sustained drives with a ground and pound by Humbert and Ferris connecting with Tillotson and Offer on several looks parking the Highlanders on the Raiders 4 yard line to end the first quarter 0-0. Humbert took it to the house on 4th down to cap off the long drive behind an offensive line that was making big holes with Seymour converting the PAT making it 7-0 to start the 2nd Quarter. Dawood came up with a big interception on a 3rd and long for the Raiders on the ensuing drive giving the Highlanders great field possession yet again. Humbert took to the ground again making huge gains leaving a short distance for Offer to take one under center for a 2-yard carry and the TD with Seymour converting the PAT making it 14-0 still in the second quarter. The Raiders couldn’t get out of their own way late in the second but the Highlanders fell short with a late pick right before halftime leaving the game 14-0 at half. The Highlanders opening drive to start the second half set the tone when Ferris connected with Tillotson for a 65yard TD catching the Raiders sitting on their heals in the secondary. Sure fire Seymour banged another one between the uprights with his third PAT making it 21-0. The Raiders didn’t get any better on the offensive side of things and the Highlanders were on the move yet again in the 3rd Quarter. Humbert paved the way after several hard runs for a short 4-yard pass from Ferris to Tillotson with Seymour converting another PAT making it 28-0 at the end of the 3rd. Geottes stepped up big on the defensive side of things with a pick to start the 4th quarter after another failed attempt at an air assault by Raiders, giving Adams great field possession. The Highlanders slowed their roll and decided to give some new looks with personnel and were able to chew up the majority of the clock leaving the Raiders a few minutes to end the 4th quarter and going nowhere but home with a loss. The Raiders left Highlander nation realizing the whole cross town out of league games aren’t meant for them and should probably stick to what they know which is success in a very soft division. The Highlanders will head to Anchor Bay next week and hopefully finish off the season with a full head of steam and on a high note heading into the play-offs. Jeremy Watters
