Trumbull, CT — The 10U girls won both games of their doubleheader today with the Weston Bears 🐻 and continued their great play. 1️⃣Our first game, counting towards league standings, was an absolute gem. Zoey pitched 4 shut down innings with 9 Ks and only 1 hit allowed. We were able to end the game with the Mercy rule 13-2. Offensively, Nina led the way with 2 hits including a monster 3-run homer for 3 RBIs. Leigha had 2 hits with another hard hit double, and 2 RBIs. Summer, Zoey, Ariyah, Ellie, Ella, and Lainey also all had hits. Zoey and Nina earned game ball honors. 2️⃣For the second game, Lainey started us off and pitched 2 innings, striking out 3 and only giving up 2 runs. Ellie Seltzer made her debut on the mound and pitched a solid 3rd inning with a strike out. Ariyah closed the game out striking out 3 for the save. We won 11-7, and Lainey earned her first pitching win of the year. Ariyah, Zoey, Ella, Mia G, Mia L, and Lainey all had hits with Mia G smashing a double. Ella had 2 RBIs, Ariyah scored 3 runs, and Mia L scored 2. Mia L earned game ball honors for her amazing offensive and defensive performance, and she added a spark right towards the end of the game when we needed it. Our Timberwolves enter their first tournament of the spring next weekend in Middlefield. 🌟Amazing weekend girls!🌟
