Nampa, ID — It came down to the wire as Skyview Varsity Hawks grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over Caldwell. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the tenth when Ledger Downs singled, scoring the go ahead run. Caldwell were the first to get on the board in the fourth when Caldwell singled, scoring three runs. Skyview Hawks tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a single by Ledger Downs, and a sacrifice fly by Brodie Fleshman. Caldwell took the lead, 6-3, in the top of the tenth thanks to singles by two Caldwell Cougars. Skyview Hawks made the score 7-6 in the bottom of the tenth after Grady Daniels doubled, scoring two runs, Caden Yesford singled, scoring one run, and Ledger Downs singled, scoring one run for the win. Joe Bernal earned the win for the Hawks. The reliever surrendered four hits and three runs over two innings, striking out three and walking two. Caden Yesford stepped on the mound first for the Hawks. The starter allowed eight hits and three runs (two earned) over eight innings, striking out 4 and walking none.
