Bethlehem, PA — The Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers fell to Liberty 9-6 on Tuesday at LHS. After a controversial call that went against Easton in the top of the first, Liberty took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the frame. The JV Rovers would try to play catch-up the remainder of the game, ultimately coming up three runs short. Jacob Hackman got the start for Easton. The right-hander surrendered seven runs over four innings, striking out three and walking two. Winston Hornik threw two innings of relief, allowing three hits, two runs and one strikeout. The JV Rovers offense managed to score 6 runs on 10 hits with Jack Miller, Evan Thornton, Max Martenis and Mason Stout each collecting multiple hits for Easton. Next up for the JV Red Rovers is a trip up the road to face the Blue Eagles on Thursday. Game time is 4pm at Nazareth.
