Sandusky, OH — Your Lady Bears pulled off a huge upset in the Regional Semifinal over top seeded Anthony Wayne with a final score of 55-50! The bears ended the first quarter down 10-11 but entered halftime down by 10. Maddie Lepley’s steal and bucket at the end of the third quarter cut the AW lead to 4 points and sparked a huge second half comeback for Jackson. The bears went on to outscore AW 19-10 in the fourth quarter. Ashley Helle drew a charge on AW’s miss basketball candidate with 45 seconds remaining to regain possession up 50-48. Megan and Maddie then sealed the game at the line!!! Megan Campbell led the way with 25 points, 4 assists, 2 steals. Maddie Lepley had a career high 20 points, 3 rebounds, 3 blocks. Ashley Lahmers held big d1 prospect and miss basketball candidate Elise bender to 14 points (12 below her season average) while scoring 5 points, grabbing 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Lexi Pizor added 5 points, 3 rebounds! Ashley Helle had the play of the game while also grabbing 5 rebounds and 2 assists! The bears are back in action on Saturday at 1pm vs Olmsted Falls!!!
