Germantown, WI — Maiya Tearney tossed a five-hit shutout, working out of bases-loaded jams in the third and fourth innings. She struck out six. Three big hits fueled the Spartans' offense. Breleigh Ustruck's two-run homer put the Spartans up 3-0 in the fourth. Mackenzie Rolf found the left-field corner with a two-run double in the fifth. Karissa Jenz hit a two-run rocket over the left field fence in the sixth. Ustruck went 3-for-4 and Jenz and Ava Thelen had two hits each in West's 11-hit attack. The Spartans improved to 20-4 on the season.
