Pinole, CA — Vanden Vikings lost despite out hitting Pinole Valley nine to five. Bryce Alcantara led Vanden with three hits. Vanden got on the board in the first inning after Alcantara hit into a double play, but one run scored. Vanden added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when Alcantara doubled, scoring two runs and Alex Mausahrt singled, scoring one run. Ryan Cahalan started on the bump and gave up one hit and zero runs over the first three innings. He struck out three while walking two. Vanden plays at home on Saturday against River City.
