South El Monte, CA — South Pasadena Frosh/Soph Tigers snatched the lead late in their 6-5 victory over South El Monte Freshman Eagles on Wednesday. The game was tied at five in the top of the seventh when A Hernandez singled, scoring one run. The Tigers rallied for the victory despite trailing 4-0 in the fourth. In the top of the seventh inning, the Tigers went back into the lead after Kory How tripled, Nathan Bernhardt-Kim singled, and Hernandez singled, each scoring one run. Ishan Trachtenberg began the game for the Tigers. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and five runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out three and walking three.
