Mountaineers Improve to 9 and 3 With Road Win over Minnechaug
Wachusett Regional 6, Minnechaug Regional 1
West Springfield, MA — After an hour and 15 minute freezing cold bus ride, Wachusett came out and peppered the Minnechaug goaltender with 38 shots en route to a 6 to 1 road victory.
Although the play was predominantly in the Minnechaug end, the Falcons would get on the scoreboard first on a nice rebound goal at the 7:48 mark of the 1st period.
Sophomore Travis Laidlaw would tie the game at the 10:16 mark of the first assisted by another sophomore Caden Lane. The game would enter the first intermission tied at 1.

The team was outstanding in the 3rd period outshooting Minnechaug 18 to 2 in the frame. Parker Meyer scored at 5:18 tipping home a Nick Brousseau shot from the point.
