Costa Mesa, CA — JV continued its march towards a Trinity League title with its 3rd win over Mayer Dei this season. The whole team could be MVP’s today and we’re going to need that effort and then some on Thursday when we host Santa Margarita for the outright league honors. Individual MVP honors are going to 2 of the 3 subs who came in and defeated 2 of their top 3 singles players in round 3. Thomas Gormley came from behind 3-4 and took the set 7-5 winning 4 of the last 5 games against their #2 player, Carson. Great job Thomas! Sam “I am” defeated their line 1 player Cieran by slicing and dicing his way to win 4 games in a row to close out the set. Great effort by Alex Gibson who fought back and forth with James. Alex ran out of time losing 4-6 at the end, but he gave the guy a good workout. Johnny Tavares, Robert Thornton and HB Warner all won 2 for 2 before being sub’d out. Michael Aceves and Enzo Biundo won all 3 doubles sets played, well done guys. Kayden Kral and Logan Lebsack won both sets played together. Jacob LeBrun and Lucas Johnson won their first 2 sets, defaulted 3rd at coach’s discretion when Jacob rolled ankle in 3rd set.
