Niskayuna, NY — Niskayuna JV Baseball defeated BHBL JV Baseball 9-0 on Wednesday at Niskayuna High School thanks in part to five runs in the first inning. Niskayuna jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Bryan Yetto singled, scoring one run, an error scored another run, Arthur Bowcutt induced Justin Black to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Joey Spindler singled, scoring two runs. Niskayuna added another run in the second after a sacrifice fly, and another in the third, off of a BHBL error, making the score 7-0. Bowcutt took the loss for BHBL. The righty went five innings, allowing eight runs (three earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking two. Tucker Sunkes led BHBL with two hits in three at bats. BHBL will travel to Shaker for their next game on Friday.
