The Scotties opened up the scoring in the fourth after a dropped third strike was misplayed by Hunter Rauhauser and a run scored. Mason McDonald walked, stole a base, then came around to score on a wild pitch to tie the game in the top of the fifth. Ballston Spa broke the game open in their half of the fifth, scoring 5 runs on just 3 hits to take a 6-1 lead. The biggest blow was a 2 run double off the bat of James Haughton. Jameson Hotaling earned the win for Ballston Spa. He surrendered 3 hits and one run over 5 innings, striking out 8 and walking one. Ben Yerina took the loss for Burnt Hills. He was dominant over the first 4 innings before things got away in the 5th. His final line was 4.2 innings, 6 runs (3 earned) on 5 hits, striking out 8 and walking 2.
