Smithville, OH — The Lady bears lost a heartbreaker to Wadsworth with a final score of 41-40. Wadsworth jumped out to a hot start, leading 15-6 after 1. The lady bears fought back and led 32-30 going into the fourth quarter. It was a one point game the last two minutes. Ultimately, the bears could not overcome only taking 3 foul shots in comparison to Wadsworth’s 11. Ashley Lahmers led Jackson with 11 points, 3 rebounds. Maddie Lepley added 10 points, 4 rebounds. Megan Campbell added 8 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists. Sarah Herron had 4 points, Hannah Kunkle 2 points/2 rebounds, Ashley Helle 3 points, and Emily Rofe 2 points! Freshman Ashley Helle earned her first career start and made her first varsity basket on a big three to pull the bears within 1 with at the end of the 4th. The bears are back in action next Saturday, 12/2 for our home opener against Smithville!
