San Juan Capistrano, CA — Most of the S squad exited early from the lineup today, giving others a chance to play 2 sets. After jumping ahead 5-1 in the opening round, we played even 3-3 in the next 2 rounds, winning 11-7. You can win championships dominating doubles, which the girls did today, winning 7 of 9 sets played. After sweeping the first round: Peyton w Riley, Abby w Arina, Kate w Allie - we won 4 of the final 6 sets. Chiara Manta and Aurora Moore won 2 for 2, earning MVP honors. Melina Kashi and Natalie Schumacher picked up an additional set, as did Maya Stroupe and Lucca Lutz. St. Margaret’s had very good singles players. Nobody beat their top player. Kinsley and Elliana each won opening round singles. Both Bryanna Noorian and Madison Valente stepped in and played well in rounds 2 & 3, each getting a set win between them.
