Fountain Valley, CA — Fountain Valley, CA – October 11, 2023 A picturesque afternoon at Mile Square Golf Course in Fountain Valley, California, set the stage for a clash between the girls' varsity golf teams from Laguna Beach High School and Edison High School on October 11, 2023. The nine-hole match was marked by remarkable individual performances, but it was Edison High School that emerged victorious in impressive fashion, with a final score of 193 to 261. Edison's Chloe Lam delivered a jaw-dropping performance, securing the coveted match medalist honors by shooting an incredible three-under-par 33. Edison's Jenna Brisco also posted a remarkable score, shooting even par 36. Laguna Beach High School's players showed good sportsmanship and determination throughout the match. Savannah Wald led the Breakers, posting a score of 48. Julianna Franconi-Krychman was close behind with a 49. The other players and scores for Laguna included Alani Sciacca (53), Spencer Anderson (55), Luxy Bynaum (56), Glory Belland (56), and Chiara Berman (57). Next up for the Breakers will be the Wave League Finals tournament starting Monday 10/16 at Los Serranos Country Club, South course. There will be two days of 18 holes of golf to identify the individual players who will represent the Wave League in the CIF playoffs.
