Tonganoxie, KS — The boys bounced back on Thursday night and came out with a 1 goal win. The boys spent the whole night dominating the time of possession and really kept the ball from Louisburg throughout the game. Jose Mendoza had his first Varsity start in goal and did not disappoint at all. He was a rock in the back and came up big when we needed some saves. He is a bright spot in our program that doesn't get the recognition that he deserves. Jackson McWilliams took a day off from goalkeeper duties and spent the game going on the attack against Louisburg. He looked sharp up top and helped create chances. It's great having a player like Jackson who can play field and contribute to the teams success in goal and out of goal. Our defense was strong, our back line consisting of Caeder, both Lachlans and Aidan were great in the back. Caeder and Aidan getting involved in the attack makes our team more and more dynamic. Our midfield was strong, Gavin had some chances on goal and Andrea was great at moving the ball around the field to teammates and creating chances. We had a platoon of guys playing up top and creating chances. Jamison had many chances but just wasn't able to get them in the back of the net. Emery came up big for our team, scoring off a header. Our boys have been crossing specialists this season and have created and scored off of a lot of crosses this year. These boys continue to improve, it'll be great to have everyone healthy and clicking on all cylinders when we get to post season which will be in a few weeks.
