14U Timberwolves drop Hatter's Tourney Pool Play Opener to Stingers Gold 9-4

Danbury, CT — The Connecticut Timberwolves fell to Stamford Stingers 14U Gold 9-4, Sunday morning in the only pool play game of the 2023 Hatter's Tournament in Danbury, CT. Over 5 inches of rain fell over the two days prior, forcing the Tournament to be played in one day with a single pool play game followed by Single Elimination.
The T-Wolves managed only 3 hits and 7 walks off good Stamford pitching that eventually took the Stingers to the Championship game. Adisyn Magliocco, Lyla Del Rossi and Mackenzie Jacobs all had singles while Nadia Stubbs drove in a run and walked.
Del Rossi took the mound and allowed just three earned runs over three innings of work. Magliocco made her Fall debut and struck out 3 batters in the final inning.
The Timberwolves made a couple errors that led to a five-run 3rd inning that assisted Stamford.
