Chula vista, CA — 12 - 6 win over Gompers Prep We have been improving and getting stronger with each match and today our players show that all of the doubles teams are awesome! The #1 team of Ariadna Ibarra & Jayli (Tessa) Murguia won all three of the sets by the scores of 6-0, 6-0 & 6-0. #2 team of Nazanine McDonald & Jackie McDonald played two around strong set and won them 6-1 & 6-0 (they were replace in the Third) #2 team (in the third set) Nevaeh Harris & Andrea Michel in their set fell behind 0-4, then won 6 straight game to get the win 6-4! #3 team of Amelie Ayala & Gianna Grado won all three of their sets with strong serving and ground stokes up the middle. Their scores were 6-4, 6-0 & 6-4. This was a wonderful day of tennis. We will play the singles to complete this league match vs Gompers Prep tomorrow (Thursday Sept 28) at Salt Creek Tennis courts starting 3:PM. Lady Bruins finished off the two day league match vs Gompers prep with our single match up and won by the score of 12- 6. In today's single we had two freshmen (Liliah Munoz & Jaelyn Monreal) & a Sophomore (Izabela Orta) step up to secure this match. This 1st league win was a total team effort and showed our overall team deept. Great job girls and congratulations to Jaelyn Monreal for winning her first ever tennis game!!!
