St. Mary's 6 - 0 Challengers
From the start, the Challenger ladies worked hard to move the ball around and possess it to control the game. St. Mary's was strong in the midfield and battled to create quick opportunities that our defense struggled to mark as they finished a bumbled shot in the box and open shot at the top of the box that went precisely into the bottom corner past a diving Josie Scaglione. The girls showed great resilience, not giving up and creating chance after chance as they pushed against the strong sided Crusaders. Even after a disallowed goal for an arguable offsides call by Sienna Wilcox, the girls shook it off and played hard, withstanding 100+ degree on field heat. Midfielder, Aubrey Hess put in a full workload logging 3.1 Miles traveled for the game, while Mae Ferreira in defense was clocked in at running the top speed for the team of 10.4 miles per hour to close down the attackers.
