Littleton, CO — Littleton 27 John F Kennedy 42 When I started this "Coach V Season Blog", I promised myself I'd keep it real -win, lose, or draw… But I have to admit, this one is hard to write... Football is a team game. In my mind it is the greatest team game ever made. On any given play - 10 TEAM-MATE'S job is to make one player look good. Actually, It takes every last player, coach, trainer, manager, (including parents) an insane amount of time, all week to make it work on Friday night. Even then, ALL PLAYERS must then perform on stage - under the lights, in unison, with perfect spacing and timing - while live bullets fly. Think of Theater, on steroids, but with PAIN... Vice Versa - if INDIVIDUALS are not bought in and are "self-focused" then this "Greatest Team Game" will chew you up and spit you out! That is the Cold Hard Facts about where we are as a team right now. My heart breaks for my DAWGS that fought and left it all out there last night. It was 21-19 in the 3rd quarter. But their effort was not matched by our entire roster... A trusted mentor told me early on - "You're either coaching it, or your letting it". As we migrate this difficult stretch, we will stay the course, as our path is still upward.
