Englewood, CO — Sorry for the late update. Another bitter pill to swallow as the score doesn’t tell the true tale of how close this battle was. But ironically, it tells everything about where we are as a program. Hat’s off to Coach Campbell as his Pirates capitalized on our mistakes and put the dagger in when he had us on the ropes! For 36 minutes, I honestly witnessed the best effort that this young group had put forth to date. They competed with high energy, heart, and TRUE GRIT! We overcame key injury, tough calls, self-induced adversity and we kept getting off the canvas to fight. Just like what we train to be & what we hope to be known as one day! But, a complete game takes 48 minutes. So, in the real world, we must all bear our consequences. Eventually the rent is due... Life is not a destination. It is a journey and ours has just begun... Purposely, this great game is NOT EASY! If it was, everyone would do it!
