Ventura, CA — Buena Freshman Bulldogs traded a pair of touchdowns with the Newbury Park Panthers and won with a fourth quarter field goal. Bulldogs scored with a rushing touchdown by Jayden Hodgins in the first half and another by Christopher Slate in the second half. The Panthers moved ahead after a 2-point conversion on their second touchdown. Hodgins' speed showed again with a nice return deep into Panthers territory. Kicker Dylan Ragazzo blasted a 35-yd field goal with minutes remaining to put the Bulldogs ahead 17-15. Safety Kaleb Alarcon blocked a last second Newbury Park field goal attempt to secure the win.
