Bellwood, PA — Last Friday, Bellwood-Antis played a fierce football game against the Central Dragons. The game was played at home and was a tough battle with a final score 20-41. Chance Schreier, Bellwoods defensive end, snatches an interception from Central's quarterback. Later, a pop pass on the 4th down would lead Bellwood to a 7-21 score by the second half. In the 3rd quarter, a pass to Alex Mccartney would be successful helping Bellwood close the gap with a 14-21 score against Central. By the end of the 3rd quarter, Central would score two more touchdowns increasing the gap to 14-34. Central would go on to score one more time in the 4th quarter. In the final minutes of the game, Mccartney would give one last push scoring for Bellwood with a final score of 20-41. Bellwood played a tough game against Central being the only team to score above 7 points against them and not get mercy ruled. The team played better than previous weeks and have a promising future for upcoming games. This Friday, Bellwood will take on the Tyrone Golden Eagles. Tyrone currently sits at a 1-3 record with their only win against Greater Johnstown. Two weeks ago, Tyrone played the same Central Dragons as Bellwood. However, Tyrone played a seemingly worse game compared to Bellwood. Tyrone would only go on to score once in the 3rd quarter leading to a loss of 41-7.
