Anaheim, CA — The beach team traveled inland to weather they are not used to, but, handled the heat well! The Lions handled the heat and opponents well, in this rematch in our home and away series. The ladies were victorious 14 - 4 , improving upon their 10 - 8 victory at home on Sept 23rd. Unfortunately, the Comanches had two players who needed heat-related medical attention and left to get taken care of. A few others played only once or twice, by round three, Canyon had to forfeit a couple of sets. JSerra and a doubles team in round one, take a break at 4-all before continuing but, were otherwise in good shape. Doubles were played at all lines today. Gianna and Sydney S. were relentless at line 1 doubles, oh, oh and two; Ella J with Jessica at line 2 swept all three, oh, 2 and 3. The trio[s] of Jinny, Emma D and Mia along with Allie, Chloe and Emily M. also Boxi, Abi, and Analia [at lines 4, 5 and 3 respectively] took two out of three sets played! KOach Kirk was very impressed with our doubles play AND mid week PARENT ATTENDANCE was fantastic! Thank you to everyone who helped w/ snacks and ice, water and gatorade replenishment! Greatly appreciated! Frosh has home and away with SM Friday and Saturday.... Let's pack the stands here Saturday, OK??? GO LIONS!
