Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — Great team win today to take control of 2nd place in the Trinity League. In a balanced attack, we won 5 sets in singles and 5 sets in doubles. Super kudos to MVP Alex Marsh who won all 3 sets today: 6-4, 6-2, 6-1. She was the only Lion to win all 3 and to defeat the Eagle’s top singles player. Tough court to watch on, tough couple of courts (5&6) to get pictures on, sorry. Kinsley Moore was masterful in back to back wins against their #2 (6-3) and #3 (6-4) players on center court, earning MVP honors as well. MVP honors go out to Kate Layk and Abby Godber who won back to back sets in the first two rounds against their #2 and #3 teams. Also winning 2 sets and earning MVP status, congrats to Captain Arina Wagner who won 2 of 3 sets played, one with Riley Godber, another with Christina Nama. We’ll done ladies. Picking up a solo doubles set win, the final set of the day, kudos to Bryanna Noorian and Aurora Moore who won an exciting tie-breaker with a bunch of fans and players from both teams watching.
