San Juan Capistrano, CA — Great finish to pre-league play, JSerra JV’rs come away with a solid 10 - 8 victory over the Stallions on their home courts this afternoon. Kinsley Moore, one of our MVP’s of the day (winning both sets of singles played) beat their #1 player 6-4 in round 2, giving JSerra a 7-5 lead going into round 3. This was the margin of victory, as we split 3 - 3 in round 3 for a 10 - 8 final score. Elliana Castro played 2 hard fought sets of singles, winning both for MVP honors as well. She won her last set simultaneously as Chiara Manta and Maddy Valente won our last doubles set, giving us our 9th and 10th set wins for the match. Captains Arina Wagner and Riley Godber picked up a 6-4 win earlier in round # 2. Joining the 100% club and receiving MVP honors as well, a big shout out to Bry Noorian and Aurora Moore, who came from behind to win a crucial 3rd round doubles set, 6-4. Winning 2 (for 2) strong sets of doubles and earning MVP honors, kudos to Abby Godber and Kate Layk. After winning their opening round vs the #3 team 6-0, they easily defeated the top doubles team 6-2. Well done ladies! MVP Alex Marsh won 100% opening with a solid win over their top singles player before stepping aside to let others play singles today.
