San Juan Capistrano, CA — Our battle for the city championship was upended today on our own courts. San Juan Hills is just a strong team with top end strength and depth. Bright spots were Scarlett Vukich taking SJH's #1 player to 5 - 7 which is a great effort for our #1 sophomore. Scarlett disposed of their line 2 player, 6-0 quickly though. Naomi Clarke added singles set to our tally as did Cecelia Nama who collected her first varsity singles win! Jasmine Aftabi with Ellie Gregor-Orr were awesome sweeping 2 of their 3 sets and the Fraize sisters won 1 of the 2 sets they played. KOach subbed liberally in round 2 and 3 and was able to play 16 players in the last preseason match of the year. Trinity League play starts Thursday at home vs OLu. GO LIONS!
