Marina High School's team faced a formidable challenge as illness sidelined most of their players, forcing them into an unfortunate position where they had to forfeit the match. While sportsmanship and solidarity were on full display as the teams hoped for a swift recovery for Marina's players, the competition did continue with a practice scrimmage.
Under the sunny California skies, Laguna Beach High School's golfers took to their home course with enthusiasm. The team's impressive showing was epitomized by their season-low team score of 214, reflecting the remarkable consistency and skill displayed by each player throughout the nine holes. It was a testament to their hard work on the challenging Ben Brown's course, which clearly paid dividends on this particular day.
Standout players Spencer Anderson, Savannah Wald, and Chiara Berman deserve special mention for their exceptional performances. Anderson shot a career-low 40, Wald shot a career-low 42 and Berman shot a career-low 44 on Ben Browns, showcasing their determination to excel on our home course.
