Middleton, ID — Middleton is the best team we’ve played this year. Their defensive front was as tough and physical as any I can recall. Down 27-7 in the first quarter we had a choice to make and the boys made the right one. We scratched and clawed our way into it closing it to a one score game with 6 minutes left. Starting faster is a point of emphasis and a theme for our team. I told the boys everything we’ve done to this point from BYU to BSU to McCall to Boise Optimist was to prepare us for this upcoming week. September is a month that will define our season. Critical league match ups with Vallivue, Emmett, and Columbia loom large on our horizon. We’ve played the toughest non conference schedule in the 4A SIC. We’ve sought to be battle tested and ready for this moment. It’s been a tough road. It’s been difficult to change our culture. It’s time to pay off all the hard work. Homecoming vs Vallivue 7pm on Friday. Go Hawks!
