Jackson, NJ — Sophia LoPiccolo wasted no opportunities at the plate, driving in four on two hits to lead Jackson Memorial past Toms River East 13-6. LoPiccolo drove in runs on a double in the fourth and a home run in the fifth. Toms River East scored five runs in the second inning, but Memorial still managed to pull out the victory. In the bottom of the first inning, Jackson Memorial Jaguars Varsity tied things up at one. Dominique Lopez hit a solo homer. Jackson Memorial took the lead for good with ten runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Julia Cruz singled, scoring one run, Lopez drew a walk, scoring one run, Emily Hersh doubled, scoring two runs, LoPiccolo doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Grace Touroonjian homered, scoring three runs, and Cruz hit a solo homer. Jackson Memorial smacked four home runs on the day. Cruz had a homer in the fourth inning. LoPiccolo went deep in the fifth inning. Lopez went yard in the first inning. Touroonjian had a long ball in the fourth inning. The Jags racked up 14 hits on the day. Gianna Vollaro, Cruz, LoPiccolo, Touroonjian, and Hersh each racked up multiple hits for Jags.
