Royersford, PA — Unfortunately, we started our season off with a 49-19 loss to a very strong and talented Spring-Ford Team. Spring-Ford is a team returning multiple D-1 prospects that finished last year losing in the District Quarter-finals to Garnet Valley in overtime. Garnet Valley wound up losing to St. Joes Prep in the State Final game. Excuses aside, we need to focus on ourselves and get better. There were some bright spots in the game for us. Reese Hohl and the Kick-off Return Team had a Kick off Return for a touchdown. I challenged the team at half-time and told them not to worry about the score or the win or loss, just to go out and play for pride and self-respect. The offense was able to answer with a scoring drive. I am proud of our captains and seniors as they worked together to keep their composure and to keep the Team Family intact. We will get back after this week and work hard to game plan to beat Carlisle at home Friday night!
